The challenge
They wanted daylight in the space without the greenhouse effect a plain glass roof would create, and the neighbouring wall meant rainwater had nowhere to run.
What we did
Laminated UV-coated glass on powder-coated aluminium framing, with concealed drainage channels taking water away from the party wall. The patio now sits several degrees cooler than the open driveway at midday.
